Nebraska finished preparations for Saturday?s showdown with Missouri on Thursday with a two-hour practice in shorts and helmets on the turf at Memorial Stadium.
"It was another good practice," Head Coach Frank Solich said. "I felt pretty good about the week (of practice). I think coming off of the win was an emotional boost for us. We are looking forward to operating at a high level on Saturday, which is going to be a must because Missouri is a very good football team."
The Tigers enter Saturday?s game with a 3-2 record and a 0-1 mark in Big 12 action. MU dropped a tough 31-24 decision to the second-ranked Oklahoma Sooners last Saturday. Nebraska holds a commanding edge (60-32-3) in the all-time series, including 23 straight victories. The Huskers won 36-3 a year ago in Columbia.
"They (Missouri) have shown what they can do against Oklahoma and are playing very well," Solich said.
Solich said no one has been ruled out of Saturday?s game with the Tigers, except for redshirt freshman defensive tackle Seppo Evwaraye, who will miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury. True freshman Brandon Greeson, who was redshirting this fall, will also miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.
The Huskers will walk-through at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at Memorial Stadium. Coach Solich will be available to the media for a brief comment prior to practice. Cameras will be allowed to shoot the first five minutes of the walk-through. Missouri is scheduled to walk-through at 2:45 p.m.
