Lincoln ? The Nebraska football team practiced for an hour and 45 minutes Saturday morning inside Memorial Stadium, as the Huskers continued work in preparation for their 34th consecutive bowl game.
"It was a good workout today," Head Coach Frank Solich said. "We practiced for about an hour and 45 minutes and went through about 90 minutes of meetings before that. The energy level was pretty high during the morning practice. They worked at it very well and I was pleased with the effort. The weather was great for an outdoor practice."
Nebraska will take Sunday off before conditioning and watching practice film on Monday and returning to the practice field on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Huskers await final word on which bowl game they will be playing in and who their opponent will be. Bowls are expected to make their final decisions early Sunday. Once the final decisions are made, NU will exchange film and begin to focus on its opponent.
"Once we find out who we are playing we are able to gather film and break it down," Solich said. "There are a couple of possibilities with the bowls that we are looking at."
NOTE TO MEDIA:Media can expect to join Coach Solich on a teleconference call with the bowl that picks the Huskers on Sunday, at approximately 5 p.m. Details will be faxed and e-mailed out on Sunday after 2 p.m.
