Lincoln, Neb. ? The No. 9/8 Nebraska football team practiced for two hours Tuesday afternoon in Memorial Stadium, as the Huskers continue to implement the game plan for Saturday?s showdown with Utah State that is set to kickoff at 6 p.m.
"Today?s practice went okay," Head Coach Frank Solich said. "They were a little sluggish out there. I think our two physical games and the hot weather is taking its toll, but the effort was there. Hopefully, as we go through the week, things will pick back up again."
The Huskers will return to the practice field on Wednesday in full pads. NU will do some first-team against first-team work in controlled situations.
Backup I-back Cory Ross looked good in practice on Tuesday and Solich believes he is almost back to 100 percent.
"He moved around really well," Solich said. "He looks like he is in good shape and should have no problems getting ready for Saturday?s game."
