Lincoln - The Nebraska football team practiced in full pads for two hours Tuesday afternoon in Memorial Stadium, continuing preparations for Saturday's Homecoming contest with Kansas. The Huskers and Jayhawks are set for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff, as the game will not be on television.
"It was a regular Tuesday practice in full pads," Head Coach Frank Solich said. "We went through some ones vs. ones work. We feel it is important to continue to work speed against speed throughout the course of the week. That has been something that has been productive for us."
Solich also addressed the status of rover Lannie Hopkins who practice on Tuesday, but did not paraticipate in full-contact drills. Rush end Chris Kelsay's status remains day-to-day for Saturday's contest with Kansas.
