Huskers Conclude Week With Scrimmage

By NU Athletic Communications

Lincoln ? The Nebraska football team concluded the week?s practices with a two-hour workout Friday afternoon inside Memorial Stadium. The upper units practiced in sweats, while the rest of the squad scrimmaged in full pads for the final 30 minutes of Friday?s workout.

"I thought the effort was good, and we got through it without any major injuries," Solich said of the scrimmage. "A lot of them look forward to the opportunity to do something where they are on film running our offense and defensive. A scrimmage like this gives them a chance to compete against one another instead of the first-team offense and defense."

Solich said he was pleased with the team?s effort during the week, as the Huskers will not practice until Monday afternoon.

"It?s been a good week," Solich said. "They have come out, and done what we asked them to do. Their attitude is good and they are looking forward to the game."

The Huskers return to practice Monday afternoon, while Head Coach Frank Solich?s weekly press conference is scheduled for Monday at Noon in the Don Bryant Media Facility.
