Lincoln ? The Nebraska football team practiced for two hours Tuesday afternoon in half pads inside Cook Pavilion, as the Huskers continue preparations for Friday?s showdown with 13th-ranked Colorado. The game is scheduled to kick off at 2:36 p.m. and will be broadcast nationally on ABC.

"Practice went very well," Head Coach Frank Solich said. "We went in half pads, and we felt very good about the enthusiasm and the effort that was put forth in this practice. I think they have prepared well during the week, and I think we are ready to play a very physical, very good football game. It should be a great matchup."

Nebraska lost freshman offensive lineman Jermaine Leslie to a dislocated ankle during Tuesday?s workout. The 6-foot-2 300-pound lineman from Weatherford, Texas, is redshirting this season and will undergo surgery.

"Jermaine Leslie sustained an injury today that will require him to be looked at and will probably undergo surgery," Solich said. "He dislocated his ankle, so we will see what the extent of that is in terms of surgery. Bottom line is that he is going to be out for a long time, and it is going to require a lot of rehabilitation."

Solich also announced a one-game suspension for senior place-kicker Josh Brown.

"I will suspend Josh Brown for this (Colorado) ballgame," Solich said. "It is a tough situation that he has put himself in and this team in. I am very disappointed in what transpired. He will sit out this weekend."

The Huskers will return to the practice field on Wednesday to finish up preparations for the Buffaloes. Coach Solich will address the media following practice. Wednesday?s practice is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will finish at approximately 2:40 p.m.
