Huskers Enjoy Warm Temperatures For Saturday Practice

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Huskers worked out for nearly two hours in half pads in Memorial Stadium on Saturday, enjoying the warm temperatures in Lincoln. Coach Frank Solich said it was a good workout and that the team is working hard.

"They are preparing well. They continue to push themselves and I think they will play very well in the bowl game."

Solich said the team will take Sunday off, then resume practices on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. However, it will be a skeleton coaching staff as many will be on the road recruiting, and may be less than 100 percent in attendance by the team themselves as finals begin on Monday. "We will have a few guys miss practices during finals week," said Solich, "But it will not hamper our preparation."

While the team had a station scrimmage yesterday and will have one more station scrimmage before the bowl game, but will not have a full scrimmage before facing Ole Miss in the Independence Bowl on Dec. 27.
