Lincoln - Nebraska began preparations for Saturday's game with Missouri with a two-hour practice Monday afternoon on the grass practice fields. Head Coach Frank Solich said the Huskers had a "good Monday practice" in half-pads. Solich noted that a few players were held out on Monday to heal bumps and bruises from Saturday's win over McNeese State, but he expects the Huskers to be near full strength for Saturday's 11:36 a.m. game.

Solich said he was very impressed with Missouri's play this season and talked specifically about the play of redshirt freshman quarterback Brad Smith, who racked up 391 yards of total offense in the Tigers' 31-24 loss to No. 3 on Saturday night.

"They use him in a manner that highlights his ability," Solich said. "In watching him, I did not think he played like an inexperienced player. He led their football team very well."

Solich also offered praise for a rookie of his own- true freshman I-back David Horne. Solich said that after evaluating the film of Saturday's game he was impressed with Horne's debut in which the Omaha Central product carried 12 times for 81 yards.

Oklahoma State Game Time Set: Nebraska's Oct. 19 game against Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla., has been set for an 11:30 a.m. kickoff. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Net as part of their regional cable syndication package (Channel 37 in Lincoln, Channel 47 in Omaha).
