Lincoln ? The Nebraska football team practiced for an hour and 45 minutes Wednesday afternoon in sweats inside Cook Pavilion, as the Huskers finished up preparations for Friday?s showdown with 13th-ranked Colorado. The game is scheduled to kick off at 2:36 p.m. and will be broadcast nationally on ABC.

"It has been a very good football team in terms of their work ethic throughout the year," Head Coach Frank Solich said. We really pushed them during the early part of this week, and they responded very well. I?m really pleased with their attitude, and their desire to play a great football game. I know we will play a tough, physical game, and we hope to execute the way we are capable."

The Huskers also decided on a place-kicker for Friday?s game. Junior Dale Endorf will assume the kick-off duties as well as field goals and extra points, following the suspension of senior Josh Brown.

"We have a couple of kickers who have very good legs," Solich said. "They have not kicked under the pressure that Josh has kicked under, but they do kick the ball well."

Nebraska is scheduled to walk-through Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Coach Solich will address the media before the walk-through. Cameras will be allowed to shoot the first five minutes of the walk-through. Colorado will walk-through at Memorial Stadium at 2:30 p.m.

Rush end Demoine Adams, fullback Judd Davies, rush end Trevor Johnson and rover Aaron Terpening received first-team recognition for the third time. Sophomore linebacker Chad Sievers carries a perfect 4.0 in business administration.

Four Huskers Earn All-Conference Honors from Kansas City Star

Four Husker seniors were named to the Kansas City Star?s All-Big 12 team, released late on Tuesday. The group is headlined by DeJuan Groce, who earned first-team honors as a punt returner and was named to the second team as a cornerback. Husker place-kicker Josh Brown was the other first-team selection, while rush end Chris Kelsay and center John Garrison were second-team picks.
