Diane Mendenhall has been with the Nebraska Athletic Department since 2000, and currently serves as the assistant athletic director for development and ticketing. She was named assistant athletic director for development in 2005, before moving into her current role in 2006.

Mendenhall oversees the daily operation of the athletic development and ticket offices, including the annual fund and scholarships, and assists with major gifts and planned giving.

Before joining the development office in January of 2004, Mendenhall spent four years as the NU volleyball director of operations. She handled a variety of duties, including budgeting and travel, and also served as a liaison for volleyball support units such as sports information, marketing, compliance and the NU ticket office. Mendenhall also serves as color analyst for the radio broadcasts of Husker volleyball home matches.

A native of Ogallala, Neb., Mendenhall earned her a bachelor's degree from Kansas in 1981. She was a four-year starter for the Jayhawk volleyball team and a team captain as a senior. Mendenhall and her husband, Rich, have one daughter, Ally, who will be a senior at Yale in 2008-09.
