Lincoln --The Huskers practiced for more than two hours in full pads on Sunday in Memorial Stadium. It was the third practice in a row and Head Coach Frank Solich said it showed.

"It was our second day in full pads and third straight practice," said Solich. "Now they will get a two-day break and hopefully, that will help refresh them." Solich said this is the first time in spring camp that he has had the team practice on three consecutive days. He said the team adjusted well.

"They responded real well--and that?s not automatic," said Solich "It is clear they want to get a lot accomplished this spring. They have a great work ethic and a good attitude."

Solich said the team had a short station scrimmage on Sunday. "We had about 18 total plays in a station scrimmage and we seemed to get through that without any injuries."

The Huskers will have meetings on Monday afternoon, and take Tuesday off, before practicing again on Wednesday afternoon.
